View of the Pavilion from on top of a tall mini-golf course we played. You can see how it is right on the ocean which makes it unique.
We love the scrambler!
Wyatt and Lily are in the front car.
I'm so sad that this was the last time we would ever see the Pavilion amusement park at Myrtle Beach. They are tearing it down and this was the last season. It is over 50 years old and has been a part of our vacation for as long as I can remember. The kids are heartbroken about it and talked about it the whole time we were there--how they just couldn't understand why anyone would want to tear it down. It has the neatest old-fashioned rides and food stands. It truly is unique and is such a shame. We had a great time there this year, though. It's free to get in and they sell tickets for the rides. We usually let the kids ride 3 or 4 rides and then go do something else. This year, though, we splurged and bought them unlimited ride passes. They rode everything and had a blast!
They are building a Hard Rock amusement park there in a different location, but I'm sure it won't be the same and it will have parking charges, admission charges and the whole deal. I liked this because you could go spend 2 hours and not have to spend the whole day to get your money's worth. Oh, well, guess I need to get over it!!!
