CHRISTMAS 2006

These pictures are not in order. This is the countdown board the kids marked everyday.

One of Lily's favorite things. It was in her stocking. You add water and it makes fake snow that you can mold and play with. It's called Sno-Wonder. She "cooked" with it all day. It lasts for months and you keep rehydrating it with water.
Wyatt with his Nintendo DS.
Chillin' in the afternoon.
Our yummy dinner of beef tenderloin.

Wyatt opening his sleeping bag.
Wyatt's favorite gift-his DS.
Lily getting into her stocking. She loved her big earrings.
On her bike. It was the exact one she wanted so she was thrilled. Too bad it's been yucky weather out.
Lily's doll bed. She loved it! It matches her room perfectly.

Making cookies for Santa on Christmas Eve.
Right before bed with Santa's cookies and milk.
We always have to read The Night Before Christmas before bed.

Letters and goodies left for Santa. Carrots for the reindeer, too. Here's what the letters say.
Lily's says: Dear Santa, Did you like the cookies and milk?(Circle yes or no---he circled "yes", of course) The carrots are for the reindeer. I hope I get alot of presents this year. Love, Lily P.S. Please and Thankyou.
Wyatt's says: Santa, I hope you're not Lactose Intolerant. From, Wyatt (always the commedienne)
The haul. Most of Wyatt's is expensive electronics in small packages so it doesn't look like much!!!

Before Christmas---making a gingerbread house.
Decorating a gingerbread snowman.
The finished product.
It turned out really cute.

Not the best picture, but here are Wyatt and Lily with their friends Trevor, Emma and Savannah on Christmas Eve outside of Logan's. We went to eat there after church.
Well, another year over. The kids had a great Christmas and were happy with what Santa left for them. We had a very relaxing day of eating and napping. It's going to be so nice to have a few days off for all of us! I'm looking forward to doing some fun things with the kids. Then we will travel to Kentucky on Friday to have Christmas and New Years there.
Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas as well!!!

PICTURES FROM OUR LAST(BUSY) COUPLE OF WEEKS

Wyatt and Rachel at the all school caroling in the library. See more below.

Lily's dance class had parent night to show us what they have been working on.This was a tap routine they are learning. It was so cute and was more jazz/hip-hop than anything. Lily's moves are very sharp--she was really into it.
Flying through the air.
What a beautiful ballerina.
Tapping.

Lily had a part as an elf in her school Christmas program. She got to sing 2 lines all be herself! She was so into it and was very animated with all the hand motions they did.
Lily in her elf costume getting ready to sing her solo lines. She did a fantastic job--we were so proud of her!
With some of her class before the program. Don't they all look nice?
Lily and Leia---who will be moving to China over break---boo-hoo.
Lily's dance class in their reindeer antlers.

Jeff's team got this cookie bouquet for him. It has all of his managers' names on the reindeer and he is Santa.Very cute.
Ashley with her gift of Hot Pockets. We love the commedienne that has the Hot Pockets bit and joke about it all the time. It's become a real running joke with us---especially between Ashley and Wyatt. We just had to wrap some up for her-it was funny!
The neighbor kids at our get together.
The spread at our get together with the neighbors.

Wyatt playing bingo at his class party. Isn't the little girl that sits next to him cute? He thinks so, too. He did the sweetest thing today. They had their classroom auction with the "cougar cash" that they have earned over the quarter. He spent his on a candle for me and snuck it in on my desk. SO sweet. Especially when he could have spent it on a fart machine!!
Lily playing Santa limbo at her class party. I was technically in Lily's party this time and only snuck into Wyatt's for a minute. It's so nice working at the school and still being able to do these things!
Lily with her frineds Emma and Anna. That's also her friend Chandler in the corner.
The whole school in the library singing Christmas carols. A fun yearly tradition at their school.
Look at that sweet face.

Class parties, school programs and dance---oh my!!
We've had a lot going on these last couple of weeks. Here are the pics that I haven't had the time to post. Yes, I know----there are way more pics of Lily than Wyatt. He does not like to have his pic taken and she LOVES to! Plus, she had her program--his isn't til Spring. He'll get his turn---whether he likes it or not!
I'm finally able to breathe today. Last day of work and school today. All the parties are over and we are ready to snuggle in and enjoy an intimate family Christmas with just the 4 of us. We will travel to Kentucky the Friday after to have our Christmases there.

Lily with her cousins, Hannah and Haley.
On the farm.
I love to get pics on this old front porch swing.
This has to be one of my favorite pics of Lily I've ever taken. She said, here, Mom-take a pic. She LOVES to pretend to be a model and pose!!

We had a whirlwind trip to Kentucky Saturday and Sunday for a Christmas get together on Jeff's Great Uncle Howard's farm. The kids love to run around on the farm-and it was so warm that they were able to spend a lot of time outdoors.

OMG----here are the directions for one section of Wyatt's math homework tonight...
Algebra--Expressions
The variable q stands for a prime number. Make a factor tree. Then write the prime factorization without exponents for each expression.
Huh???
I was never very good at math. Luckily, Jeff is, so he can help him.

LILY'S SNOWMEN

Lily's latest from Monart. Snowmen done in chalk pastel.

YAY---CARPET!!!

There will be doors on the cabinets going up the stairs. We'll use those for our Costco purchases! You know, that case of canned green beans, or the huge pack of paper towels.
These cabinets will also have doors.

They laid our carpet today. I couldn't wait to get home from work to see how it looked. I'm very happy with it! What a huge difference it makes! The color is just what I wanted and it really makes the space look bigger.
The room is going to have a beach theme. I bought some cool shell prints on e-bay that I need to get framed. Even with no furniture, it will be a great place for the kids to go play.
Now I have lots of decorating to do!
