I am so sad about this! I just found out while looking for some Myrtle Beach coupons on-line that the amusement park--The Pavilion-- there is closing. I have gone there almost every year since I was about 10 years old. My kids love it now. It's right on the beach, which makes it unique. They are going to tear it down after this summer. I'm sure they will build some kind of high rise hotel or something there, which is such a shame. At least we will have this year to say goodbye. I feel so sentimental about it because it was a part of my childhood and our vacations weren't complete without a night spent there. The kids already have memories there, too and have already been talking about what they want to ride this year. Here is a link to the article about it. And here is a link to the petition I signed to stop it-although I'm sure it's fruitless! It was so sad to read the comments and how The Pavilion has been a part of some people's lives for 50 years and now they take their grandkids there. It has been there since WWII.

Anyway, I've ranted long enough. Sometimes, I just hate "progress"!!
